"Everyone carries a shadow. The less it is embodied in conscious life, the blacker and denser it is." — C.G. Jung
Jekyll knew his. He just chose to keep it separate — contained, hidden, given its own name and its own nights. We know how that ended.
We all have a Hyde. The parts we don't show, the impulses we don't admit, the version of ourselves we'd rather not introduce. But denying the shadow doesn't dissolve it. It feeds it.
To know your darkness is not weakness. It is the beginning of knowing yourself whole.
