Something brought it back. It didn't ask why.

Death, as it turns out, is negotiable —

just not gently, and not without a few missing parts.

It's smiling. That much, at least, survived intact.

The rest is held together by whatever was left over.

Nobody said resurrection had to be tidy.

It's just glad to still be here. Mostly here. Here enough.
